Praça Antenor Neiva recebe sinalização vertical e medidas de reforço no trânsito
[ad#336×280]Com o objetivo de proporcionar uma maior segurança aos motoristas que trafegam pelas ruas Luiz Nunes, Vicente Baldoíno e Paulo VI, o Departamento Municipal de Trânsito (DMT) decidiu implantar uma nova sinalização vertical na Praça Antenor Neiva em mais uma medida emergencial para desafogar o trânsito.
O cronograma de intervenções a curto, médio e longo prazo é parte de um plano estratégico da Prefeitura de Picos que garante uma maior mobilidade urbana.
A iniciativa, segundo o superintendente do DMT, Sebastião Nobre de Guimarães Júnior atende uma reivindicação antiga de moradores do bairro São José e usuários do Hospital Regional Justino Luz.
A meta é manter a população sempre informada sobre o ordenamento urbano dos bairros, dando uma maior fluidez ao trânsito local. “A nossa intenção é dar uma referência objetiva aos condutores e fazê-los cumprir o Código de Trânsito Brasileiro”, frisou.
Júnior Nobre lembrou que o bairro Canto da Várzea recebeu, recentemente, sinalização completa tanto no sentido horizontal quanto vertical e que, essas ações, reduziram o número de infrações, permitindo ao usuário do sistema identificar vias de contramão e preferencial.
