Construção de novas canaletas já beneficia moradores do Boa Sorte e bairros adjacentes
Por J. Pereira – A secretaria de Obras, Habitação e Urbanismo de Picos iniciou a execução de um plano de drenagem que vai evitar alagamentos em alguns pontos do bairro Boa Sorte. Trata-se da construção de canaletas nas principais vias de cruzamento e ruas afetadas com esgotos que corriam à céu aberto.
A restauração inclui a cobertura de passagem de esgotos e instalação de canaletas, evitando assim a acumulação da água no período chuvoso.
O investimento, da ordem de 500 mil reais, beneficia diretamente moradores do Boa Sorte e bairros adjacentes. Segundo o secretário Cláudio Galeno, ações semelhantes, estão sendo executadas em outros pontos da cidade.
Para avançar ainda mais nas obras de mobilidade urbana, a secretaria está realizando um mapeamento de outros trechos que, também, necessitam desses tipos de reparos. “Precisamos nivelar algumas ruas que estão dificultando o trânsito de veículos e motocicletas após o asfaltamento que foi realizado na Monsenhor Hipólito”, explicou.
Quem já utiliza os serviços elogia a iniciativa e os benefícios conquistados. É o caso do comerciante José Ribamar Neto, morador do bairro Boa Sorte. “Está melhorando bem a parte de saneamento. Com as canaletas melhorou muito a movimentação do comércio”, disse.
