PM recupera veículos roubados
Mais um caso de violência assustou a população de Picos. Na noite desta terça-feira,16, por volta de 22h40min, uma viatura policial que realiza rondas no bairro Pedrinhas tentou abordar o condutor de um veículo modelo Fiat Strada, de cor branca. O mesmo saiu em fuga, foi quando deu-se início uma perseguição policial. O mais surpreendente, é que no interior do carro haviam três pessoas que se identificaram como vítimas de um suposto assalto.
Segundo registros da Polícia Militar de Picos, o condutor que ainda não foi identificado saiu em fuga rumo ao bairro Conduru, e no local abandonou o veículo na companhia de outro homem. Os mesmos fugiram pelo matagal.
As vítimas foram identificadas como sendo André Joaquim da Silva, José Evandro de Sousa e Antônio Messias Lucas da Costa, todos naturais do município de Francisco Santos.
“A viatura da área fez a contenção juntamente com outras guarnições, e dentro do veículo estavam três pessoas que disseram serem vítimas de assalto ocorrido na BR-316, entre Inhuma e Valença”, disse o comandante da PM de Picos, tenente coronel Edwaldo Viana.
O veículo Strada que foi recuperado estava sem placa e foi roubado em um assalto na cidade de Santa Cruz do Piauí por um infrator identificado como Pirata. No interior do carro ainda haviam balaclavas, capacetes, celulares, e materiais usados pelos infratores para cometer crimes na região.
O caminhão de cor vermelha, de placa NXK,6570, roubado no assalto entre Inhuma e Valença foi abandonado nas proximidades do Posto Papai Noel.

As vítimas e todo o material juntamente com os veículos foram entregues a Delegacia de Polícia Civil, em Picos, para a tomada dos procedimentos cabíveis.
A Polícia realizou diligências, mas a dupla de assaltantes não foi localizada.
