Prefeito de Simplício Mendes e mais três são feitos reféns próximo a Oeiras
Nas primeiras horas da manhã desta quarta-feira, 05, o prefeito reeleito em Simplício Mendes, distante 138km de Picos, Heli de Araújo Moura Fé (PSD), foi feito refém junto com a família e o motorista. As vítimas foram amarradas e tiveram o veículo que trafegavam, uma caminhonete Hilux levada pelo bando além de pertences. O fato ocorreu na BR-136, nas proximidades do município de Oeiras.
Segundo informações preliminares, estavam no veículo o prefeito, a esposa, a filha e o motorista. Os mesmos foram rendidos pelos assaltantes que chegaram ao local usando uma Ranger, supostamente produto de roubo. As vítimas foram amarradas à 200m da rodovia.
As informações ainda apontam que ninguém saiu ferido, e após os assaltantes conseguirem evadirem-se do local, os reféns conseguiram se soltar das cordas.
