[ad#336×280]A operação Carnaval da Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF) registrou até o final da manhã desta quarta-feira(05), 50 acidentes com 21 feridos e um morto nas rodovias que cortam o Piauí. O número é menor que o total do ano passado, mas o inspetor Rameiro, do Núcleo de Comunicação Social da Superintendência da PRF no Piauí, alerta que o fluxo se intensifica nesta tarde na volta para casa.
“Os números são melhores que o ano passado, apesar de não termos concluído ainda, já que a operação se estende até meia-noite. Estamos trabalhando com a parte mais crítica da operação, que é o retorno, pois todos voltam no mesmo dia e as saídas são mais esparsas”, destacou o inspetor Rameiro.
Ele recomenda que os motoristas respeitem a legislação, ultrapassem em locais permitidos e respeitem principalmente o limite de velocidade. “Os radares da PRF registraram um veículo a 164 km/h que não é uma velocidade segura para o tipo de pistas que temos no Piauí”, afirmou.
O inspetor afirma ainda que pelo histórico das operações anteriores é possível haver congestionamentos entre Demerval Lobão e Teresina, na BR-316 e de Altos a Teresina na BR-343.
“Os motoristas devem dirigir com prudência e velocidade adequada e jamais utilizar o acostamento que é para ciclistas e pedestres e que a desobediência pode gerar a segunda multa mais cara do CTB (Código de Trânsito Brasileiro) que é de R$ 574,00 e se for viajar à noite, baixar a luz para ter melhor visibilidade inclusive de animais na pista”, enfatiza Rameiro.
A morte aconteceu em Campo Maior, um homem morreu ao atropelar um animal.

Foram flagrados 67 motoristas conduzindo veículos com bebida alcoólica e tivemos 21 prisões que representa uma situação com elevado teor de álcool. “É um dado preocupante”, afirma.
