Avenida Severo Eulálio poderá ser o espaço sede do Carnaval de Picos
Faltando menos de um mês para a realização do Carnaval 2016, o prefeito de Picos, Padre Walmir Lima (PT), falou à imprensa que o espaço sede para a festa carnavalesca poderá ser a Avenida Severo Maria Eulálio. Segundo o gestor, a programação ainda não foi divulgada devido a asseguração de recursos e fechamento de algumas atrações.
“Estamos definindo a programação e garantindo recursos. E eu sou um tipo de pessoa que gosto divulgar as coisas quando elas estão bem amarradas. É verdade que já temos garantido pelo Governo do Estado e assinado pela Secretaria de Cultura a verba de R$ 150,000, mas estamos buscando parceiros”, disse o prefeito.
Ainda de acordo com o gestor serão cinco dias de muita animação. Segundo ele a possibilidade de realização do Carnaval na Avenida Severo Eulálio é devido a Avenida Beira Rio, apontada como o local dos grandes eventos da cidade, estar com a infraestrutura danificada por conta do vendaval ocorrido no dia 13 de dezembro e das contantes chuvas, onde ainda há de ser reparado iluminação pública e estacionamento no local.
A expectativa é que a programação seja divulgada nos próximos dias.
