Neurologista esclarece causas e cuidados com a Microcefalia
Uma doença vem causando temor entre as mulheres grávidas, a microcefalia. No Estado do Piauí, já foram diagnosticados 36 casos da doença, considerando o período de janeiro a novembro.
O Ministério da Saúde divulgou uma nota no último sábado, 28, associando a Zika Vírus, transmitida pelo mosquito Aedes Aegypti, aos casos da Microcefalia no país.
Trazendo esclarecimentos sobre a doença, o neurologista Gutenberg Rocha, estabelece a causa e medidas protetivas que a população, especialmente as mulheres grávidas podem estar aderindo.
O que é a microcefalia?
Gutenberg Rocha – é uma doença neurológica decorrente do não fechamento das fissuras do crânio [muleira]. Esse fechamento na criança ele ocorre em torno de um ano e três meses.
Em que fase da gestação da gravidez, a doença pode se desenvolver?
Gutenberg Rocha – Existem dois tipos de microcefalias – primárias e secundárias. A microcefalia primária pode se desenvolver até os primeiros sete meses de gestação. Já a Microcefalia secundária desenvolve após os sete meses de vida fetal, assim como depois do nascimento do bebê. Mas a fase em que existe maiores probabilidades de que se desenvolva a doença é nos três primeiros meses.
Qual a relação entre a microcefalia e o Zika Vírus?
Gutenberg Rocha – Existe evidências por conta do aumento de casos do Zika Vírus, especialmente no Nordeste, e da Microcefalia. Então já foi feito estudos com mulheres que adquiriram o Zika Vírus e tiveram crianças com Microcefalia. O estudo foi feito através de um líquido localizado na coluna da mulher, onde foi encontrado vestígios da virose.
Cuidados
O neurologista ainda enfatizou que nos Estados, onde houve uma incidência maior no número de casos, a exemplo do Piauí, é necessário que as mulheres tomem maiores cuidados na gravidez.
A recomendação é o uso de repelentes pelo corpo, roupas longas, protetor de janelas, mosquiteiro, e outros cuidados contra o combate do mosquito transmissor.
