- V Parada da Igualdade de Picos
Um público expressivo, embora menor que nos anos anteriores, compareceu à V Parada da Igualdade de Picos, uma realização do Grupo Guaribas de Livre Orientação Sexual (GGLOS).
A concentração começou cedo, às 15h a multidão se reunia no segundo balão de Picos, no bairro Bomba, de onde só sairia por volta das 17h30, em caminhada até a Praça Félix Pacheco.
Curiosos tomavam toda a extensão do canteiro central; na Avenida Getúlio Vargas, pessoas aguardavam nas calçadas para acompanhar o trajeto junto com os demais.
Ao som de muita música, danças e gritos de guerra, a Parada transcorreu sem grandes dificuldades. Jovanna Baby, líder do movimento LGBT em Picos, usou a temática do evento em 2011, “Nosso voto, Nossa voz”, para convidar a multidão a refletir sobre a necessidade de que a população escolha representantes comprometidos com o bem-estar da população.

O ponto negativo ficou por conta da desorganização no trânsito e nas falhas cometidas pela organização do evento. Embora convidados, a deputada Flora Izabel, deputado Fábio Novo e até mesmo o vereador Iata Anderson foram barrados pela segurança ao tentarem subir no palco do evento. Um equívoco logo corrigido.
A V Parada da Igualdade de Picos é uma realização do GGLOS com apoio do Governo Estado e também de representantes da sociedade civil e do poder público.
